DeeSME 2050

About the project

DeeSME is a European LIFE-2021-CET-AUDITS project.

It runs from September 2022 to January 2025 and involves partners in 5 countries.

The main project website can be found here.

Origin of the project

DEESME 2050 builds on the multi-benefit approach developed by DEESME to build capacity, support and motivate companies to overcome barriers to the adoption of energy efficiency measures in the furniture sector and its value chain, mainly in Bulgaria, France, Italy and Poland.

To achieve this, DEESME 2050 will involve, support and accompany companies in implementing energy efficiency measures according to their level of readiness. The project will also build the capacity of company staff at all levels of work and support sustainability through the preparation of financing, standardisation and replication in cooperation with associations and political decision-makers.

Project objectives

  • Communicating with companies so that they take energy efficiency into account in every business activity through information activities on energy risks (climate change, greenhouse gas emissions).
  • Applying tools and methodologies in an integrated form with training activities, energy audits, feasibility of investments and available energy management systems.
  • Develop a policy and regulatory scenario showing that reducing energy consumption will increase market competitiveness and combat climate change.
  • Make it easier for companies to make the most ambitious choices by systematising the economic and financial solutions already available
